How many member check-ins does the RAC have per day and how many staff does it take to serve them?

Did you know that the RAC employs five hundred people in the summer? It is a bit wild to think how many staff it takes to make the RAC the special place it is. Once per quarter, Matt Remick (RAC Owner), Olivier Renault (RAC Human Resource Director), and I host a New Associate Orientation. We start the meeting by having everyone introduce themselves, what department they work, and what interests them about working at the RAC. Inevitably, many of the staff enjoyed the RAC as a member first, and the many younger staff grew up with the club. Some of them share the positive memories that were made here.

The New Associate Orientation goal is to ensure our entire team knows that your experience at the club is our mission. We share several videos that drive this point home. Most new employees leave this meeting excited and ready to serve, and as one of the presenters, I leave this meeting excited about what we do and the positive impact we have on the lives of so many people.  Which leads me to this fun fact:  Did you know we average well over two thousand member check-ins per day? Last week, we averaged 2,562 member check-ins.

We are proud and humbled to have you as a member. When I think of how many members use the club daily, it leads me to think how many memories are being made and how proud I am of Team RAC for making this happen.

Thank you for being a member.

Outdoor Locker Room - Keys Available at Outdoor Desk

Did you know that you can check out a locker key for our outdoor locker rooms when you are at the outdoor pool?  This may be a great alternative to using the locker rooms inside if all you are doing is checking in through the outdoor gate this summer.  Ask the Outdoor Desk Attendant for a free locker key.

Parking Lot Safety

Keeping valuables safe in your car is important to prevent theft or damage. Here are some tips to help you protect your belongings:

  1. Keep valuables out of sight: The best way to deter theft is to keep your valuables hidden from plain view. Place them in the trunk or under the seats before reaching your destination. Avoid leaving bags, laptops, smartphones, or other valuable items on the seats or dashboard where they can be easily spotted.
  2. Utilize the glove compartment: If you have smaller valuable items like jewelry or important documents, consider storing them in your locked glove compartment. It provides an additional layer of security compared to leaving them in the open.
  3. Lock your doors and windows: Always ensure that your car is securely locked before leaving it unattended. Double-check all doors and windows to make sure they are properly closed. This simple step can deter opportunistic thieves looking for easy targets.
Install a car alarm or security system:
  4. Consider installing an alarm system or a vehicle security system if your car doesn't already have one. These systems can act as a deterrent and provide an added layer of protection by alerting you or others if someone attempts to break into your vehicle.
  5. Use window tinting or shades: Applying window tinting or using shades can make it difficult for potential thieves to see into your car. This can help protect your valuables by keeping them hidden from prying eyes.
  6. Avoid leaving your car unattended with valuables: If possible, try to take your valuables with you when leaving the car. If you must leave them behind, make sure to follow the previous tips and keep them hidden.

Remember, no method is foolproof, but by following these tips, you can significantly reduce the risk of theft or damage to your valuables while they are in your car.
