New Fitness Space Renderings – Track Closure Upcoming:

The renovation of the expanded fitness floor space, which will include ten half racks, a turf area, dumbbell racks, and benches, continues on schedule. In conjunction with this, we are replacing the windows on the west end of the fitness floor. To accomplish this, we will be closing the track from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., each day, the week of October 7th.

The two racquetball courts will remain open through late October instead of mid-October, as we previously communicated. We will email you once we know the exact timeline for renovating those two courts.

Here is a sneak peek at what the new space will look like once complete:

As shown, bleacher seating will not be in front of the logo wall.  This has been changed, but we do not have an updated rendering.  The glass walls will remain in place to prevent basketballs from coming into this space.

Clay Courts Closing for the Season

The last day to play on the clay courts will be Sunday, October 7th. We are closing about seven days earlier this year so we can fix the perimeter fencing that was damaged from the storm this summer. The tennis fencing had significant damage, and the fall is the best time to take care of this project.  Thank you for being so understanding.

Best regards,

RAC Dietitian, Kaitlin Thompson

With cold and flu season ahead we want to do what we can to stay healthy, which includes prioritizing a balanced diet. Ensuring we include foods that contain probiotics (such as fermented foods like yogurt or kimchi), beta carotene (sweet potatoes, carrots, spinach, and broccoli), vitamin C (citrus fruits, tomatoes, and berries), vitamin D (fatty fish, eggs, & fortified milk or juice), zinc (beef, seafood, beans, wheat germ), and protein will keep us fueled and support our immune system!
