As we wind down 2024 and head into the holiday season, I want to thank you for being a RAC member.  Your support and enthusiasm continue to make the RAC a place where goals are achieved, friendships are formed, and memories are made.

Looking ahead to 2025, I am excited to announce the launch of Basecamp, our brand-new small-group training program. This program is designed to offer a unique, focused training experience in our new free weight area, which will open in January.

Here’s what you need to know about Basecamp:

Small Group Focus: Sessions are limited to 12 participants, ensuring personalized attention and a supportive team environment. There is nothing better than having your tribe. Friendship, encouragement, and accountability are byproducts of this program.

Expert Coaching: Led by our skilled trainers, this program is tailored to challenge you, help you reach your fitness goals, and keep you motivated.

State-of-the-Art Space: You’ll train in our brand new free weight area, an environment designed to inspire and elevate your workout experience.

Spaces for Basecamp are limited, so don’t miss the chance to be part of this exciting program. For more details, check out Steve Boring's article called "Introducing Base Camp: Your New Path to Strength, Health, and Wellness"  at the end of this newsletter in the Bog section. Members who register for this program will not be billed for any classes that start in January, as we do not know the official opening date.

Renovation Update

The renovation is taking shape, but there is still much to do.  The squash and racquetball courts should be finished by late December.  The free weight equipment for the new free weight area will be arriving January 13th.  Installation will continue that week.  We plan to open the area shortly after installation.

Below is a rendering of the new space. The glass walls will remain between this space and the basketball courts. The access point to the new space is by the track. This space will be open to all members.

2025 Membership Dues

Dues will increase between two to three percent, depending on the category. The increase is effective for January 2025 dues, which are billed in December. Here are the new rates (before tax):

Individual $97.00
Couple $161.00
Family $211.00
Senior $85.00
Senior Couple $149.00
Parent/Child $114.00
- Each Additional Child $10.00

The holiday season can cause many of us to worry our goals and healthy habits will become derailed. For get-togethers I have a few top tips: take a lap around the food before loading your plate, and then pick your favorite items that only come around once per year while also trying to make room for some veggies. Make sure to eat a meal 3-4 hours beforehand to avoid feeling over-hungry, and stay hydrated by drinking lots of water throughout the day!
