Renovation Update Exciting Progress at RAC We are thrilled to share the latest updates on the renovations at RAC. Your patience and support during this process mean the world to us as we work toward creating a better experience for everyone. Racquetball/Squash Courts: Open for Play! We are delighted to announce that our Racquetball/Squash courts are fully renovated and available for booking. Whether you’re a seasoned player or looking to try something new, these courts are ready for play. You can book a court by calling the Activities Desk at (507) 287-9300 or book a court through your member login portal on the RAC app or in the upper right hand corner of our website. If you do not have a member login, you can learn more here. Courts can be booked seven days in advance. Free Weight/Turf Area: Progress amid Challenges The renovation of the Free Weight and Turf Area faced an unexpected delay due to supply chain issues caused by the hurricane that moved through North Carolina earlier this summer. The good news? All materials have arrived on-site, and construction is on track to be completed by January 24th. Even better news: the new equipment for the space is scheduled to arrive on January 27th. Installation will take a few days, and we anticipate officially opening the new Free Weight Area by the end of January. We will send out another communication as we get closer to this date as we will be bringing the new equipment in through the double doors by the track which is next to the entrance to the new space. You may want to adjust your workout or dress accordingly on that day as it will affect he temperature on the fitness floor. This state-of-the-art space will offer expanded functionality, cutting-edge equipment, and a dynamic design that enhances your workout experience. Thank you for your continued understanding and excitement as we bring these upgrades to life. We can’t wait to unveil the finished spaces. | Happy New Year! Brent Frueh General Manager Rochester Athletic Club (507) 287-9305 Phone [email protected] Email | RAC Dietitian, Kaitlin Thompson During the winter months, many of us want to give our immune system extra support. While vitamin C supplements may sound tempting, they are not generally effective in preventing colds. Foods that provide this vitamin include oranges, tomatoes, bell peppers, and broccoli – as a bonus, they also provide us with further health benefits! Additionally, zinc supplements should be taken cautiously, and simply including foods such as pumpkin seeds, oysters, legumes, and meat can supply us with this mineral instead.
