Two Upcoming Maintenance Projects

  1. The main stairway to the locker rooms will be closed on Tuesday, February 4th. The stair treads will be replaced after we close on Monday, February 3rd, as they require a full day to dry. Members can use the fitness floor stairwell or the elevator if necessary.
  2. The men’s steam room will be closed for maintenance from Wednesday, February 5th, through Friday, February 7th. It needs caulking and drying time.

See you at the club!

RAC Dietitian, Kaitlin Thompson

The FDA has recently updated their criteria for which packaged foods can claim a “healthy” nutrient content. One aim with this update is to encourage Americans to consume less added sugar. Current guidelines set by the American Heart Association recommend no more than 36 grams per day of added sugars for men, and no more than 25 grams per day for women. Common culprits of excess added sugars are soft drinks, baked goods, breakfast cereals, and certain yogurts.
